MS ACE Project
The Mississippi ACE Project is our nonprofit partner that aims to support healthy infants and mothers by providing access to services, building capacity and conducting an awareness campaign to increase awareness of doulas and breastfeeding. Research shows that doulas and breastfeeding can improve health outcomes for mothers and their babies.
There is also a critical need to support doulas and other birth workers in increasing their skills to better serve those at highest risk. Education is also a critical component to increasing the capacity of doulas to be seen as a necessary professional to a mother’s care. As an added component to the MS ACE Project, we are aiming to offer continuous education at no cost for doulas and other birth workers across the state in an effort to:
Increase the number of doulas and other birth workers serving Black women.
Increase the number of doulas and other birth workers that will register their business on the MS ACE Project registry.
Increase access to necessary supportive services for high-risk women.
Doula Services
Doulas are available to help expecting moms and new moms with prenatal and postpartum care. With the help of a doula, moms are able to improve physical comfort, build birth plans, increase healthy births, improve knowledge on child birth, and improve emotional support. Our doulas are here to help you through your pregnancy journey and provide the best advice for you and your baby's care.
