Magnolia Medical Foundation (MMF) is a community-based organization that was founded in 2009 to provide preventive health services (health screenings, health education, promotion, chronic disease management services) and capacity building to individuals and communities throughout Mississippi.
In 2013, MMF expanded its vision to serve as a quality and assurance resource that addresses social and environmental determinants of health and a portal to an array of “responsive services” that are designed for individuals and families who are vulnerable due to self-identified need, geographic location, family constellation, ethnicity, income, insurance status, and health status.
The mission of the MMF is to:
(1) Ensure accessible, affordable, culturally competent, family-centered, and gender-sensitive preventive health and social services/resources that meet the needs of families and;
(2) Promote family health, stability, and well-being through mechanisms that encourage and support healthy physical and social environments and healthy behaviors
Addressing Food Insecurity for Mississippians during the COVID – 19 Global pandemic
Our nation has been impacted by an invisible threat unlike any other that we have seen in most of our lifetimes, COVID-19. The needs and demands of service are greater because of the impact of COVID-19. Due to the general support of community partners, we have been able to feed Mississippians across the state and combat growing food insecurity. Please consider donating to allow us to continue the work and fill in the gap.
